What have you planted?

There was an old song my mother sang to me when I was a child almost every time it rained. To this day I still remember these words: “It’s beginning to rain, hear the voice of our Father. He’s saying whosoever will come drink of the water. For I will pour my Spirit out on your Sons and your Daughters. If you’re thirsty and dry, look up to the sky, its beginning to rain.” The Lord brought this to my attention during a sermon preached at church one Sunday morning, the sermon mentioned that the rain is coming. Rain means abundance, rain means prosperity, It means provision, it means your harvest is going to be great. I want to say to you today, It’s beginning to rain. What have you planted? What have you sown?” Because with the rain, comes a harvest. So what will you be harvesting?

What you have planted, you will receive

Rain meant during Noah’s time: Cleansing, but it was only beneficial to those who were righteous, It wasn’t good for the unrighteous. Rain is also a conditional blessing, God withheld rain when they were unrighteous and he sent abundance of rain for His people when they were obedient. Obedience and blessing go hand in hand. Remember God is just and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. If we haven’t been diligently seeking then we may not be receiving a great reward, we may not be experiencing the rain. We must remember if we do not receive a reward, God is Just. So we shouldn’t question Him. We should question what we have been doing! Consider things happening in your life today and as you move forward in your near future, see the prosperity, provision and blessings as God’s rain upon your life. Look around, are the clouds forming? Do you see the rain? Remember the story of Elijah, he prayed earnestly for rain and he kept waiting for a sign, any sign that it was near. As soon as he saw the tiniest cloud, He knew it was coming and sent word to the King. So I’ll say to you again, It’s beginning to rain. What have you planted? What will you soon be harvesting?
